Boxing...

After I made the little copper box pendant for THIS necklace, I decided to make more!  I really love how they frame an object and transform the piece into a reliquary.  I still need to do some rivets and punch holes, but they're mostly done.  I even like the crazy patina on the pieces.  I'm dreaming up all kinds of projects that would feature these little copper boxes.  Maybe I could play around with enamels or epoxy clay?  Or maybe I could suspend more found objects in resin?  Or make hinged doors with sheets of mica?  Or do a more industrial treatment with cast concrete?  The possibilities are endless!
