Blatantly Good...

For dinner, we had a beautiful salad with spinach greens, avocado, tomatoes, red onion and a garlicky balsamic dressing. She also whipped up the world's most fabulous gin and tonics ever! I made open-faced sandwiches piled with thinly-sliced roasted turkey, wilted greens, Fiji apple wedges, and melted Jack cheese. We enjoyed this gorgeous dinner while watching the new, modernized BBC version of Sherlock Holmes with Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role. It's lusciously shot with crisp panoramic views of central London and engaging adaptations of the original stories. It's more than just a face-lift of the source material, but a complete re-envisioning. Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman (as Watson) capture their thoroughly modern characters perfectly!

What a great way to end the day!
