The Passage of Time...

Then Now

I surprised my kittens in one of the boxes holding packing supplies. They like to sneak in and sleep in the bubble wrap. Seeing them cuddled up together in the box made my heart break a little. I didn't know why until I started looking through photographs of them when we first got them. I found a picture of them in a box – a much smaller box. It set in that they aren't kittens anymore. They're not even "little cats" anymore. Paulo is quickly becoming a muscular man cat. Babette has already lost many of her baby teeth and new, bigger, adult teeth are coming in. Much of their fluff and fuzz is gone. In Paulo's case, it was replaced by a thick velvety coat. Babette has transformed into a sleek, shiny girl. I guess this is just another reminder of the passage of time.

They do grow up fast don't they. Before you know it, they'll be back behind the barn smoking and hanging out with unsavory characters.

Love the photographs of Then and Now of the kitties. They do grow up so fast...my oldest kitty is now nine years old and it feels like I just got her yesterday. Treasure those beautiful babies of yours!

they are beautiful... Oh I hate the passage of time with my pets. My youngest was 3 mos when I adopted her and she could sleep in my arms. She is now 6 and weighs nearly 40 lbs (dog), so sleeping in my arms in not an option anymore, though I still try.

They will give you many years of pleasure and LOVE!!
