I left around 3:30 AM to get to the airport on time. I had visions of myself listening to
Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke, but ended up playing trivia on the personal consoles in the backs of the plane seats.
When I got into Salt Lake City, there was a pleasant discovery that wasn't planned for. I ended up running into my family at the airport and Jen Wilson from
Crystal Myths. Apparently we were all scheduled, unknowingly to each other, to fly out on the same flight!

It was a long flight, but it wasn't too terrible. We watched
Twilight and
Nights in Rodanthe. When we finally got to Hawaii, we stopped for lunch at the
Ward Center for some hand rolls and then at
Satura for some cupcakes. Afterwards we checked in the hotel (the Hilton Hawaiian Village) and ended the evening relaxing in our room, watching old episodes of
Doctor Who.

Ahh, old Doc Who! I love it! Have a great trip, Andrew! :)
How funny. It is always interesting to see who might end up on your flight. :)
Darn it all, you're in Hawaii and I'm going to Brooklyn! Sorry we'll miss one another. I have two days in Manhattn planned for bead shopping and one day in Bergenfield at one of favorite bead stores. Hope Hawaii is wonderful!
Hey Maureen!
Thanks so much! Doctor Who is AWESOME! We've really been getting into catching up and watching all the episodes. We're looking forward to catching up on the spin-off show, Torchwood as well.
Hey Ask Sara! Yep! Isn't it interesting? You never really know. Most of the times I try not to know, but it was totally a pleasant surprise.
Hey Marcia!
I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to hang out while you were in town. Maybe next time? There's a lot of cool things that I could show you that I think you'd have fun with.
