Caught Red-Handed...

While running errands and doing mountains of laundry, fortune smiled hard upon me. I discovered in the market a new shipment of my favorite ice cream! Hรคagen Dazs came out with a limited edition flavor, Caramelized Pear and Toasted Pecans, and I'm absolutely hooked on it. The only problem is that it is nearly impossible to find. So, naturally, like the hoarder I am, I bought every single container.

That looks evil!

Brandon and I are visiting Asheville June 1. I hope we can get a chance to see you, if you can make the trip--we'll be staying with Cynthia a couple days before they head to Bead & Button.

Hey Eva! Sadly I won't be in Asheville. I think I'm flying directly into Milwaukee. I'll be working like a crazy person until then.

Hey Sarkilahati! I've missed you so much. Of course it doesn't feel like it has been that long since I read your blog daily. I love your photos by the way. And I am jealous that you're at the Brooklyn Flea. I work Sundays. Otherwise you'd see me there, eating cupcakes and thumb-print cookies and buying soaps and linen bags too!

OH! Speaking of the Brooklyn Flea, my friend Iviva will be there this coming Sunday at the Etsy booth selling embroidered cards and stuff. And my other friend Jenny said that she saw your booth and that you seemed incredibly familiar, but she couldn't place from where. Then when I said that I had a link to you on my blog, she said, "OH, that's right!"

I love the Ronnybrook too. And it only seems overboard. It's actually pretty reasonable if you think about it. I bought maybe 12 containers. All of which, if I ration properly, will last me for months. It breaks down to a mere few cents a day. This only insures that I will be able to have a readily available supply in my freezer. I have walked the lonely hours in the darkened streets in search of such delights and have come home unfulfilled. This way I am always abundantly happy! :-)

Alba... do you not remember when I'd order a large pizza for myself in newspaper, gorging myself on Papa Johns and chugging coffee and soda to wash it all down?

I wonder why its so hard to find. For some reason folks in asheville can't manage to reorder. Phooey.

i know, i miss you too! the flea is fun but I won't be there the next few weeks. you would totally love all the sweets! you sound super busy but we should grab a coffee or tea sometime soon and catch up.

and you have inspired me to buy up all the mint lace pints from the ronnybrook stand at the greenmarket at tomorrow morning. rationing sounds like the way to go!
