Above Left: The Owl Keeper from Catanzaro by Nadia Turner. Above Right: My sister, Cynthia, holding Arata at Bead & Button show last year.
As I said I would, I was scrolling back through the archives of the Journal of Mythic Arts when I came across a post featuring the work of Nadia Turner. I was kind of stunned at how much it looked like my sister Cynthia. Of course I couldn't find the picture that I wanted to compare and contrast with the painting, but this is a shot taken last year is close enough. Turner is from Australia and from what I know, I don't think my sister has ever been there. Weird, eh?

weird and lovely!
Creepy and cool, totally!
All of you have such beautiful and striking looks... I don't think its weird at all, just another sign of pure loveliness shining through. I also think Arata looks a bit like a baby barn owl in this photo - WONDERFUL!
Ha ha ha! Thanks Ulla for the kind words. I'm sure Cynthia will appreciate being attributed with "beautiful and striking looks." And Arata does look like a baby barn owl in this picture.
He's a big bundle of giggly joy. And with an older brother, he's tough as nails.
