Deuce by Monica Cook...

My friend, Monica Cook, is one of the most talented people that I know. Whatever medium is picks up, the work is simply stellar. Her new pieces include animation and photography. "Deuce" is a new project that was recently selected for YouTube Play Biennial at the Guggenheim museum. Using claymation, Monica has created a disturbing and provoking portrait of dating, fear, and human interaction. The animated clay provides a visceral medium that concentrates and condenses the actions – boiling down the essence of the motions and making the sometimes horrific imagery all the more haunting and guttural.
