It has been simply crazy getting everything ready for Cynthia's trip. We've been working at least ten hours a day - if not more! My hands are scratched up, cut, blistered, and callouses are starting to form. Not to mention, THE'YRE green! (I guess my skin had a reaction to the bronze clay.)Anyway, we're not the only ones hard at work. Above is a picture of a fairy that Aazlea sculpted. I know, it's pretty darn good. Each day she gets better and better.

When I was a teenager, I wore a bronze ring--made my finger green whenever I wore it, lol.

um at the risk of sounding like an art critic, but Azalea's use of color is pretty darned excellent.

Hey Lauren! If you want, you can spray the ring with crystal krylon. It's an invisible coat that will keep your skin green free.
I like the bronze clay now. We've come to terms with one another and I am learning to be less fickle about how dirty it is to work with. I would wear gloves and I totally should, but I like feeling the clay. So, if my cuticles get stained and it looks like I haven't washed my hands in months, I'll just have to suck it up.
Hey Sarkilahti and Lorrwill! Thanks so much! I told Azalea about her wonderful use of color and she beamed all day. She was very excited about all the good words going her way.
I think that we might start a blog for Azalea. She makes lots of art and it would be good to have a place to show it. That and she has her own digital camera (made for kids!) and has lots of photographs. That and we could do sound-bites from her stories. When she's old enough she can take over running it.
