Finding Confidence Again...

I recently found out that six of my designs are up for voting in the Bead Star competition. Voting is supposed to start tomorrow and run until June 9th. If you like my designs, please vote for them! It really would mean the world to me!

As some of you may know, I had an issue earlier this year with someone stealing my designs off of my blog for publication. This unfortunately caused irreparable damages. I won't even go into all of the problems that this caused. I will say that I felt violated and as if someone had burglarized my home. After that incident, I rarely posted full images of my finished work. It was hard for me to trust again. This is the first time I've shared so much of my work in a long time. It feels awkward and exposing. It does feel good to share again though. By voting for my pieces, you'll be helping me gather my confidence again. By voting for my pieces, you'll be voting for me.

Please help show your support by casting votes in my direction. I thank you in advance for your help!

Thank you for being willing to share your designs with the world again. And, of course, all of the jewelry is stunning. I consider you a total star.

Best of luck, Andrew. I am new to the blog world but my daughter and I have been doing jewelry together for fifteen years. I am sorry your designs got stolen. That would be a violation.

Stop at our site if you would like. Like I said, we are new but really enjoying this part of jewelry-making.

I will go vote for you. I have been robbed and know how that feels...it is a horrible sinking feeling that just doesn't go away. I am glad you are getting enough courage to post.

Good luck Andrew! I love them all but Crystal and Metal are my favourites. It's a horrible feeling to have your integrity stolen but I am sure I'm not the only one who is glad you are sharing your work again.

I have hope that some of my designs will make it into the contest. But I haven't seen yet. Best of luck to you.
Enjoy the day!

I'm new to your blog and have enjoyed what I have seen thus far. It is sad when ideas are taken, it has happened to everyone I'm sure.
I always tell my art students, there are no original ideas, just original interpretations. I remind myself of this whenever I see work similar to mine. Good luck with your beads.

Beautiful, Andrew, I will vote first thing tomorrow. They are all wonderful, but the crystal one is the winner. And the number 1, not number 3 or honorable mention ;-).
good luck.

Congratulations (and good luck!). It's nice to see the full projects of the bits you revealed earlier. They are (as expected) completely stunning.

Beautiful work Andrew I'll be sure to vote. As far as having your work stolen I think most of us have experienced that. That said it still feels like a violation. Thank you for sharing again.

I'm coming out of lurkdom to tell you how beautiful your work is. And to thank you for having the courage and the faith (in your readers) to post pics of your work again despite all that's happened. I'll be sure to vote for your pieces (if they allow non-US visitors to do so, that is). Best of luck!

All beautiful pieces! It is really hard to start sharing again after having our work stolen... I have 6 pieces I've procastinated posting for the very same reason! It does make one feel violated! Your work is beautiful, wishing you best of luck in the competition!

Glad you're feeling confident to share again. Ugh...I just saw a shop recently that ripped off so much of our stuff. And we've been dealing with credit card fraud and site hacking so yeah...I know what you mean by feeling vulnerable and violated and all that.

all wonderful but I especially love the pearls. I will be voting for you for sure! Best of luck in the competition.

wonderful work! I'm not sure how to vote for the necklaces, Andrew. I went to the link for beadstar but could you tell me where it is that we can vote for the designs? Thanks for your blog!
