I ended up taking Babette to the vet the next day. The trip, without traffic or construction, is about an hour. Of course, there was traffic and construction. Babette was very well-behaved and only meowed when I drove too fast.
As it turns out, she's completely fine! It's somewhat miraculous, considering that she had surgery a few days ago. Her incision is healing ahead of schedule. This is a wonderful relief.
I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who sent their well-wishes and positive thoughts to Babette and towards her speedy recovery. She still needs to keep on a low-activity schedule and is still a little tender, but she's doing great! She didn't need to get glued up, stitched up again, or wear one of those plastic cones (which I am sure she would not have liked one bit).

I am glad your furry love is doing so well and suffered no ill effects from picking out her sutures.

glad to hear your kitties are doing well..
i can't image a kitty neck cone..that would probably be off in about a minute.
Good to hear everything is fine. Most cats are pretty resiliant and they do insist on doing everything their own way. All of mine do, anyway.
Hi Andrew, she's so cute! Those girl cats...my girl cat did that and she did have to get surgical glue, which actually works better anyways!!! I'm glad all is well!
Good to read that Babette's impatience turned out fine!
I would have thought that Paulo would be the one doing something like this.
