Birthday Week Giveaway: Day Two...

Today we celebrate the second day of the week of giveaways with ceramic goodies from Melanie Brooks of Earthenwood Studio!

One lucky winner will snag this assortment of ceramic beads and toggles. They come courtesy of Melanie and her online shop. Melanie is a talented designer and component maker who always seems to be in the vanguard of jewelry design. She has a gift for taking the cultural pulse and creating really unique pieces that seem ahead of the current fads and trends. She was one of the first designers to really embrace Steampunk and adapt it from a literary-based fringe movement into a viable style that was brought to the forefront of the beading and jewelry world. When she started working with Steampunk, only a handful of people knew what it was... now, if you Google it, there are over 26 million results.

The great thing about Melanie's components is that they are so versatile. One of her faux bois toggles could be incorporated into an edgy ode to The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction, or be used completely different in a whimsical fairytale-themed piece. The possibilities really are endless.

For more examples of her work, check out her Etsy shop or her online shop. You can also swing by her blog for the most current information about what she's up to or where she'll be exhibiting next. (Don't forget to sign up for her online newsletter HERE.)

To win this treasure trove of ceramic pieces, all you have to do is leave a comment on this blog post. A winner will be randomly selected from the comment section of this blog post on Monday (September 27th) at midnight EST. Please leave your name and contact information if it doesn't already appear next to your comment. This giveaway, along with all the other giveaways this week, is open to everyone, including international readers.
