Celebratory Pie...

I said that I wanted to celebrate my 3rd place win in the glass category of the Bead Star competition with a slice of pie.  So, I baked this pumpkin pie!  I added some personal touches, like extra vanilla and Vietnamese cinnamon.

Looks yummy! You're quite the cook... are you for hire? Enjoy your pie.

YUM! Congratulations! It is quite well-deserved. I feel honored that I got to hold that necklace and see it in person. I'm pretty sure I even tried it on and wore it around for awhile as I tech edited--hope you don't mind! :)

Yum Yum! My favorite. Does pumpkin pie ship well to Florida?

Ummm... Is that Grandma's recipe?

Hey Norma, I cook from the heart now. Ha ha ha, I'm trying to make my escape from food service. I always wanted to be a chef, but discovered that I don't have the temperament to work in a kitchen full-time. If you're ever in the neighborhood though, you should swing on by and I'll make sure to make your favorites.

Hey Nancy! That's what I said!

Hey Jamie! Thanks for your kind words! I don't mind at all. If you figured out how to make those instructions make sense, then brava to you. That was one of the more challenging projects I've had to write instructions for. It's not necessarily that they are overtly challenging or complicated, just a lot and a lot of repetition and sequences. And you should have taken a picture! I would have loved to see you wearing it. I bet you made the necklace look good!

I think I signed up to have it auctioned off. I hope it makes them lots of money!

Hey Cristi! I don't know. I'm thinking not. The crust, being flaky and delicious, is pretty fragile. That and it probably needs to stay refrigerated. Same thing goes as with Norma, if you're in the neighborhood, drop by and I'll make something (hopefully) yummy to eat!

Hey Sheila! I never got grandma's recipe. I'm missing a lot of her's. I tried to ask her about them before, but she said she couldn't remember a lot of them now. She said she hasn't cooked in a long time. Like her chicken and dumplings, or dressing, or pumpkin pie, or fried rabbit (sorry Nancy!).
