I hope that it's not this bad tomorrow. I've got a photo shoot scheduled with the delightful and very talented Jen Palmer of Aisling Photography and it's outside. I was thinking that I needed a more "summery" profile picture and this opportunity happened to spring up. I highly recommend Jen as a photographer. She's got a grace and humanity to her photographs. Also, I hear that she's only going to be in the area for a short time longer... so if you're in the area, book her while you can!

Self-Portrait Friday...
I feel quite wilted today. It was supremely humid. Surprisingly it wasn't very hot... it just felt that way. "Oppressively muggy" would be a nice way to phrase it. The cats were languishingly laying about and I was supremely jealous. I've been rushing around trying to get everything done for some deadlines. It doesn't help that I feel sluggish and battered in Crisco. (I toweled off and changed my tank top just for the picture.)

In my opinion, this portrait would make a spectacular profile photo. But no one should ever pass the chance to be photographed by a loving professional.
I was in the photo industry for 20 years and when someone has magic behind the lens, it is not to be missed.
I agree with Elizabeth, the beauty of the surroundings makes the perfect backdrop.
Look at the beautiful flowers behind you! The name escapes me briefly but my Mum has some in her garden and I have always loved them - such amazing colours!
