A Stolen Moment...

I had a vision on the plane from Hawaii (while being awkwardly cramped next to a giant MP named Goodman) that I would come home and get to work. The laundry list of things to do would be hacked away and I would muscle through it. But I attribute this to high elevation or some kind of hallucination.

Instead of being a superhero and going to the post office, bank, grocery store and then unpacking and then repacking and then start packing again for next weekend's adventures... I slept. It was a hard sleep. The kind of sleep that people could be banging on the walls and jumping on the bed and I could have things crawling all over my face and I would still be unconscious sort of sleep.

In a few hours, I'm leaving again... after only being home for a few hours, to go to Minneapolis/St. Paul for the Twin Cities Bead Bazaar. If you're in the area, you should definitely stop by and say hello (and maybe offer to get me an iced coffee if I'm looking a little rough around the edges).

I'm looking forward to coming home and just living and making things again. I'm so far behind with so many projects... I just need time – good, grounded, solid time. Being away so long makes the little things, like making dinner and washing your own dishes in your own house become highly desirable. I will update later with my adventures from Hawaii and from St. Paul. I'm leaving my laptop at home this time and opting for the smaller iPhone, because going through security is already such a hassle to begin with, let alone adding the extra chore of digging out the laptop while trying to balance your coat, shoes, carry-on, plastic baggie filled with fluids and gels.

I would so offer to get you an iced anything you want if I were in the area. I like your idea of no laptop. Flying, which I dislike immensely prior to 9/11 is now a horror story for me, go GBY for keeping keepin on.

Poor Andrew! We just got back from Hawaii last night and I was forced into jumping back into life full swing! I really need a nap.
