The Quiet...

I haven't posted in a while. And for the most simple and basic reason: Some days are just your's alone.

Whether they're mundane or magical, there are days when only you are privy to their details.

I'll return to my normal posting self shortly. I'm just enjoying some time to myself and my thoughts alone.

I agree. Some days just aren't for public consumption.

I've thought about a blog as it becomes 'the' communication medium of the century -- then I realized how private I truly am. Why (and how) could I bare my soul without some promise, however vague and unsubstantiated, that I'll receive insight into others worlds in return?

I haven't become clear yet on whether I envy you bloggers, think you are crazy, or am just willing to happily play voyeur to your rambles. Whatever it is, it hasn't stopped me from reading!

Write on!

I know exactly what you mean Lynn. I guess my blog should come with a disclaimer. There are many things that aren't shared through my posts and often times are left out.

Part of me wonders if it is my mother's gift for keeping secrets and for only showing so much. The need and desire to be blanketed in secluded silence.

I do feel, however, that for as much that I do conceal, there is much offered as well.

I firmly believe that blogs help build community and that they are a vehicle to communicate.

So, I imagine it's all a balancing act - what to show, what to hide, and how to present it.
