This week, one lucky winner will take home five terrifyingly terrific skull-themed jewelry components. The skulls come courtesy of the Skull Shop section of My Shop. The winner will win one boxwood Ojime bead, one crackle-glaze ceramic skull by Lisa Peters Art, one shibuichi super mini skull bead by Bob Burkett, one hand-carved bone bead and one carved blackened bone link pendant. The skull is perhaps one of the oldest symbols with a multitude of meanings, including mortality, eternity, vanity, rebellion, caution, mystery and defiance.
Bonus Points: You can earn an extra entry by blogging, updating your Facebook page, and/or Twittering about this Thursday Giveaway! Don't forget to add your act of social media kindness as a separate comment.

Hello, I follow both you and Kate McKinnon because I am intrigued and inspired by how you both write. I love the natural flow in which you give of your thoughts and I love how I receive and respond personally to yours and Kate's words.
Skulls also have been drawing me in. I am yet to figure out my fascination. This collection of skulls are from a great group of Artists that I hope to meet one day.
Thank you

Awesome skull collection!

I love the skulls in your shop, I lust after them fairly often. These would be a great addition to the skull stash I have, (My studio is day of the dead themed) I am gathering beads for a big cha cha skull bracelet,maybe....
What a great collection of Skulls ! I can see the potential of jewelry in them !! I've made a few Skulls in soft glass, still a work-in-progress for me ... ;)

Hi Andrew.
I found you via Kate McKinnon's blog, but I think we may have met (at the Berks Bead Bazaar, maybe?)... you look very familiar. The skulls beads are awesome. I'll have to browse your shops to see what else is there.

Have a good day )
Last year the Bead Museum in Glendale, Arizona had an wonderful exhibit about head hunting cultures. Not only did they hunt and adorn themselves with human skulls, but a myriad of other skulls. The use of skull beads is now what those cultures use instead of real skulls.

I have never come across such pieces from your uniquely awesome giveaway.
very cute! I would love to have these little pieces.
I've always loved skulls, and those beads are wonderful. I remember a pair of skull earrings I had as a teenager--they horrifed my mother, but I thought they were the coolest thing.

Oh those are wicked :D Awesome beads!
I love skulls!! i will post your blog on my facebook page!
I don't want them. (it's opposite day)
LoVe the collection Andrew. I've posted it on my blog today (sharondriscoll.blogspot.com). It was nice to meet you and Cynthia at B&B. And, of course, the new famous nephew.
Everyone will just have to step aside, haha. I bought a black Christmas tree at the winter closeouts - I'm putting up a "Nightmare Before Christmas" collection starting October 31st this year with my skull collection and these bad boys would look great as ornaments.
My dear friend David would love to add these to the skulls I've given him--including one I lampworked for him.
I found you through Andrea Guarino-Slemmons on Facebook and I'm posting your link on mine after I do the word verification, et al. Thanks and best.

И я записываюсь! Я могу об этих бусах только мечтать. Удивительно, но обдумывала на днях одну интересную идею, где без таких бус просто не обойтись. Если выиграю, обязательно воплощу.
...and I blogged about it too: http://wildrosesandblackberries.blogspot.com/2010/06/2-x-giveaways-skull-beads-and-colourful.html
