Bergdorf Goodman Holiday Windows...
As I mentioned earlier, after Hayden and I went to the MoMA, we stopped in front of Bergdorf Goodman to take a couple shots of their amazing holiday windows. I've uploaded them to Flickr. I like this pic you have here the best out of all of them! I used to paint store manniquins for a living many moons ago when I lived in NY. What a great job that was lol!

This is one of my favorites! I think it's why I picked it for the blog. I love owls and I love that she's playing against one. She looks clever... but will she be as clever as the owl grand-master owl chess champion?
That's probably one of the coolest jobs! So many artists did that by day while they painted in their studios by night. I've only done a couple of windows here in the City. It's a very competitive thing nowadays that's often times hired out to major designers now. I am always astounded by what people are doing these days in windows. They can rig up some of the most amazing things.
I could litterly pack up and live in that world! How Fabulous!!! Love the staircase, and those Marie style cakes - wonder where they found all the taxidermy, or where the animals of another material???
Truly amazing! Now I'm off to read about B.G...
I'm not sure, but I think that a good much of it is synthetic. Either that or they borrowed stuff from the Natural Museum of History. Apparently the displays were modeled after ones in the museum. I don't know, but there are several good taxidermy supplies that you can get the bases and painstakingly glue on fake fur.
