Bad Day...

Today has been a pretty nasty day. All day I've been trying to deal with the bank and with the lovely merchants who I've bought from or have automatic transfers with who can't get their money. I'm the one that feels like a criminal even though I didn't do anything! To top it off with a cherry, the bank has been less than helpful! All day I've been transfered around, bounced from one unhelpful person to the next. I happened to finally get help, but it was during their maintenance hour and they couldn't access my files. Call back later, they said. And when I did end up talking with someone again... apparently I have to sign and return an affidavit stating that the charges Yury the Ukrainian made were not mine. One snag... the file format that they sent it over in is one commonly used for phishing! My computer won't access it. Isn't it ironic that the bank is trying to use the same format as Yury the Ukrainian probably used to steal my information in the first place?

I was also told today that I needed to go to the local police department and file charges against Yury the Ukrainian, but not to expect anything to happen since he's overseas. He will probably continue stealing people's credit card numbers and buying hoochie clothes.

Needless to say, I've been having one heck of a bad day. I've tried to stay positive, focus on my work, and really made an effort to be as cheerful as possible through this ordeal. But I'm worn out. Right now the only thing that is giving me some semblance of peace is the idea of going to the Ukraine, finding Yury the Ukrainian, tasering him in the gonads and then going antique shopping. Right now, that thought is the only thing keeping my eyebrow from twitching off my face – justice and finding good deals. I would happily indulge in retail therapy, but wait, oh that's right... I can't... because my account is still over-withdrawn and I canceled my credit cards.

Sorry to complain and whine. I'm just venting. But, if you'd like to take advantage of my bad day, feel free to stop by my shop and use the coupon code "BADDAY" and receive 5% off your order. I'm taking down all of the current items in the sale section tonight. I'm in need of a good purging. So if you want something from there and at the drastically reduced prices that they are now, make sure to swing by before I take it all down.

I so want in on the gonad-tasering of darling Yuri...and the antique shopping! Keep your sense of humor, Andrew! That will keep you afloat! And please, find a 'something good' today, even if it is at the expense of one Yuri the Ukranian wearing hootchie clothes!
Enjoy the day!

Okay Andrew...your description of going after Yuri just had me laugh out loud!!
Honestly, these credit card problems are happening more and more. I just had someone withdrae 1,400 form my bank account using my debit card...but my debit card was still safely in my purse. I curse Yuri on your behalf.

My heart and prayers are with you Andrew. Stay strong and stay focused on getting it all resolved, I know that is easier said than done.
Also if u do go to the Ukraine and "go for the gonads", might I suggest a taser with probes like the officers use on "Cops". OUCH!!!

And speaking of gonads... here's a joke for you...

A pirate with a steering wheel in his pants goes into a bar. The bartender says, "Hey, did you know you have a steering wheel in your pants?" The pirate says, "Arrrrr, it's driving me nuts!"

Tee-hee!

I really sympathise with you a real nightmare to say the least! Trying to regain your credit, your name and being able to buy and sell. A maze of frustration, and the automated system of doing things today is even more frustrating! I just really feel for you having to deal with this.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and for your support! You all are just too sweet!

Looks like a lot of us will be going to the Ukraine soon. Maybe we can charter a plane or something to cut expenses.

P.S. I will promptly remove comments so they don't know who was responsible for the tasering. :-)

Oh Andrew, what a crappy time you are having at the moment! I would also offer to help with the tasering but it sounds like Yury will have no gonads left by the time I get there...! Best of luck with sorting the mess out although it really shouldn't be your job to fix it. Such are banks! x

Uhhhhggg! Yes, you did have a bad day. Count me in on the whole Ukraine trip. I noticed you didn't mention the name of the very helpful bank..... We have become so dependent on the ease and usual efficiency of online commerce....then along comes 'Yuri'. I hope all is cleared up soon.

P

btw, it wasn't MY cat, whose name just happens to be Yuri.

AnDreW I CaN'T imagine what you're going through.
If you go to the Ukraine, take me with as your "wing-man." Or women in this case.
I'm good at kicking A** and taking names.
I'm a certified kickboxer.

Oh Andrew my heart goes out to you. My gmail got hacked but all the scum did was spam a bunch of people. This would be a Chinese not Ukrainian person or persons who deserve a Darwin award, however.

The bank customer service you described is why I moved on to a new bank earlier this month. I got my card number stolen and know what a hassle it is to clear yourself.

Here's hoping for a swift and happy conclusion for you and the opposite for Yuri.
