While some artists I know say that they ignore trend reports, I find them fascinating. It's almost like looking into a crystal ball. If you're not in the cutting edge of the fashion industry, it might not seem like it'll have a direct impact in your work, but you'd be surprised with how much these reports do play a role in our everyday lives. Everything from the color of appliances in your kitchen to the cars on the road, to the things people wear on TV and in the magazines... it permeates our culture.
