Dinner...

For dinner tonight, I prepared slow-cooked beef in a tomato, roasted chili pepper and red wine sauce over roasted garlic orzo pasta with parmesan cheese. The beef came out fork tender and the sauce was a nice mixture of tangy and spicy. The orzo was buttery and the roasted garlic added a nice caramelized sweetness, which balanced out the zing of the beef and sauce.

When I got home from work this evening I had plans for cooking scotch fillet steak with some delicious left over salads from the night before. But my darling (and I use the term loosely) son had come home and decided to clean out the fridge (wish he'd clean out his room as efficiently) so after searching through the freezer we ended up with one piece of shriveled steak and an even more shriveled piece of pork (both with freezer burn) but when you're so hungry you could eat a horse and chase the rider, slight freezer burn is of no consequence. Please come to my house and cook that delicious meal.

I would show pictures on my blog of what I eat, but I might scare people off.
I would love to cook for you next time you're in town. You may be plesantly surprised.
