As Seen in Beadwork...

My piece, Nüwa and the Chinese Creation Myth, was selected as one of the finalists for the Beadwork Beaded Book Contest.  Check out the latest, June/July 2009 issue of Beadwork from Interweave Press to see more winners and check out a really great issue packed with projects and eye-candy!

Thanks Betty! I had fun making the piece. It was a little intensive for me, working with such small crystals, but I'm pleased with the results. Though it looks like they don't like her jewelry. Because it's all turned around and hidden by her hair.

Hey Jean! Thanks for your kind words. The competition was fun. I'll try my hand at it again and see where I land next time.

It's full of all kinds of goodies. It makes me want to take up seed beading and I'm totally not a seed bead sort.
