Near the end of Josh's going away party, I was holding up a fan to help cool down the room. Unfortunately, I dropped the fan and as a result sliced open my thumb and nicked up my thumbnail. Boy did it bleed! I didn't realize exactly how much it was bleeding until I discovered the little crescent moon-shaped bloodstains all over my sheets.A while ago I got a burn at work. This prompted a friend and I to compare scars. (Yes, typical "boys being boys" behavior.) He showed me a scar on this thumb from having accidentally stuck his thumb in a fan. It's funny how now we've got matching scars from exactly the same reason. I wonder how many other people have thumb-scars from fan blades?
