Simple Gratitude...

The Allegory Gallery Fundraiser is well on its way to reaching its goal and we are that much closer to actualizing the dream and making the storefront a reality. I'm sitting here totally floored by all the positive energy, support, and encouragement that has been pouring in! It's simply amazing. People have been very generous, giving what they can. It means even more to me knowing what the economy is like out there. Every penny is a vote of confidence. Many of the donations that are coming in are coming from other artists and craftspeople, who I know are not by any stretches financially wealthy, but believe in the Dream as much as I do and want to see it a reality. They want this creative space as much as I do! If we can make it a success, despite what the naysayers might have to say, then it's another example of how ordinary people can do extraordinary things and promote things like beauty and art, in the face of obstacles and adversity.

Even when people aren't able to contribute financially, I've noticed that people are still making donations. They're making offerings of their time, energy, and skills. I'm brought almost to tears with how moved I am by people doing what they can to help. They're helping spread the word, liking us on Facebook, offering to make things, teach classes, donate display items and old furniture they're not using – they're giving in the way that they can. And that means a lot to me. I am filled with simple gratitude. Thank you!

I will remember each act of kindness and hope that I will be able to repay those deeds in kind.

I can only send good thoughts right now, but am so excited about your opportunity. You deserve all this success. When I can a donation will be headed your way.

I think that for many of us your dream has become our dream, because that is actually what we would love to do but we haven't had the confinfidence, the support or just the opportunity.
To take steps towards our dream is far more difficult that making the dream come true, so I, and many people are confident that your shop and your work is going to be a success.
Congratulations and thank you for helping us to be closer to the fullfilment of our dreams.

I hope you know how excited I am for you, I realized my dream of opening a small salon and with just $5,000 from my parents 10 years ago I did.
Your courage to ask for support and just taking the leap you did is inspiring.
If I can be of help (from NY) please let me know.
