Beauty...
A bunch of the vendors went out for "Chinese" buffet after the show in Minneapolis. At the end of the meal, the waitress handed out fortune cookies. While the other vendors were cracking up and making jests about their fortunes... in bed, I secretly and quietly squirreled mine away. In my horror vacui heart, the words hit me in most profound sort of way.

Awwww yes so very true...I am striving for more of this in my life right now...funny you would mention it! ox
So true...so true.

Yes, this is very true. If you still have the fortune, I think it would make a neat charm for one of your pieces.
Getting simple can be so complicated! I hear the benefits are lush, though. I love to travel and being your armchair travel companion is the next best thing, thanks for sharing it all.
Hope you enjoyed Minneapolis!
how lovely and just for you :)
Hey Janet!
For the past decade or so... probably longer now, I've signed all my correspondence and emails with "Simplicity Always". It's my mantra to strive towards graceful living and to approach things, complex and complicated messes, simply and as if it were simple. The tightrope walker makes it seem so easy, and perhaps after a time it is... but the goal is to be in the moment and live as though it were all easy.
Hey Michelle!
It's a truth I often forget, but always try to remind myself of.
Hi Kym!
Yes, I still do have it and I've been thinking about incorporating it into one of my pieces. I've kept all of the really poignant fortune cookie fortunes. It's just a matter of finding time. But... soon... soon... soon.
Howdy Lynn!
I agree. It's a hard road to live simply and live as though everything were simple. But I think it's a nice idea and it helps me get through the day... so it can't be too bad.
And I'm glad that you've enjoyed my recent posts. I'll be traveling a lot more this year than I ever have before. So hopefully you'll like my forthcoming travel logs as well.
Hi Evie!
Yes, I did enjoy myself. I wish I had more time to explore and look around. I was dying to go to the Walker Museum and see some of the sights during the day. One of these days.... one of these days.
Oh, by the way... do you happen to have steel letter punches in lower-case typewriter font? I've got the standard block letters, but I'd like to switch things up a little.
Hey Jennifer!
Yep, I do think it's a lovely thing. The universe is filled with happy mysteries and delightful happenstances.
