Milwaukee...

So, I got into Chicago yesterday and got to spend some time at our friend Jeremiah Ketner's studio and see some of the pieces that he's been working on. That was great! It was wonderful seeing his neighborhood and looking at the new direction his work is taking.

Cynthia, Greg, Weasel, Bob, and Azalea came by and picked me up and we made our way perilously through the fog and rain to Milwaukee. It was late when we got in and I had still yet to do laundry. I fell asleep while reading the new Philip Pullman book waiting for the dryer to finish.

Bright and early we made our way to the convention center to set up. It was BUSY! We worked so hard. I didn't get a chance to shop very much, but above are a couple of things I got.

The prize of my yield are the Anne Choi brooches! They're AWESOME! I've also got some goodies from Heather Wynn, my family at Green Girl Studios, a recycled glass ring from Cathy Collison, and some glass beads from a swag bag placed in our Bead & Button gift bag.

YIPPEE!
I love all the owls you got! And I see some new GGS beads! And I love that Heather Wynn pendant. I used it in a necklace that's listed in my shop. Very cool! I hope you're having a fun time!

Awesome. I love Anne Choi's work. It was nice to meet you and Cynthia and chat a little bit at B&B. :) I think my owl resin pendant was my favorite thing I bought last night! I'm going to post a photo of it on my blog if I can get a good one. Hope the rest of the show is great for you guys.

Hey Lorelei! I'm glad that you dropped by the blog to check out what was happening at Bead and Button. I love the Heather Wynn piece! I have one she made for me in metal. It's one of my favorites!

It was a lot of fun, but a lot of work. Part of me misses it. Part of me is glad to be done. Most of me misses my family and friends. I wish I had more time with everyone!

Hey Christina! It was nice to meet you and your mother at the show. I'm really glad that you like your owl. I like it too! Mine is pretty similar to your's, except it's a little smaller. I love it! My sister is supremely talented.

And thanks for blogging about your pieces!

Hey Paula Best! We all missed you. I'm glad that you can at least vicariously experience this year's show through my blog.

I am absolutely thrilled about the Anne Choi pieces. Cynthia and I got one more each before the show was done. I'll post about it later.

We missed you! Hopefully you'll be back next year.

Hey Heather! We missed you too! It was nice to see your mom. I didn't get to spend too much time talking with her since I had to work a good amount of time at the booth, but it was still nice seeing her and catching up on what we could when we briefly saw each other.

We all missed you too! Instead of going to Las Vegas, you should have come to Milwaukee. Doesn't sound like a good trade off, but we would have totally loved seeing you! I second Lynn's request... bring Henry! That way Henry, Tara, and Azalea can all play together!
