Shoe Garland...

In some places, holiday trees are trimmed with tinsel and decked with holly and mistletoe. However, in my neighborhood there are garlands of old pairs of shoes strung in the trees.

Someone once told me that shoes in trees or on wires meant that there was a drug dealer available nearby. I have no idea if that is really true or not, but I found it interesting.

Oh! That's interesting. Well, I wouldn't be surprised if there were drug dealers near by. In fact, I'm pretty sure that there are. So, perhaps this signal is accurate. The only problem is that the tree really isn't very visable. It's in our back lot that's fenced off and there's no access. I got this picture from carefully balancing on my "balcony" and hanging over the edge a little.

Perhaps the drug dealers are just for my building and the people who live in it?
