A Little Promise...

Sometimes I think it's easy to promise to do more than what is earthly possible.  I seem to bite off more projects than I can chew all the time.  Sometimes the world gets in the way and it just becomes near impossible to try and do everything you want to do.  I can understand this.

I've noticed that on a lot of blogs I've visited recently, there have been a lot of pictures of feet.  I don't really have a problem with feet.  I remember in art school I had to do an entire series of sketches and detailed drawings examining the foot in different positions and exploring how the musculature worked.  It wasn't one of my favorite assignments, but I got through it.  But I know one person in particular who starts gagging and getting extremely grossed out by the mere mention of them.

So what do these two things have to do together?  It never feels good to make promises that one can't keep.  Well, I think it's time to promise something that I know I can keep:  I will never post pictures of my feet on my blog.

Seems like a cheap shot, but with this foot fetish craze, it's a pretty powerful promise, no?  Baby-steps... errrr... or rather just small movements.

I wish I could say I'd never post a pic of my feet. But I think that would be lying, since I'm remembering taking a shot of my feet when I went to the lake for a weekend getaway.
oops.
I promise I will never post any more pics of feet on my blog.
Gross.
I can't believe I did that.

Oh, well ... just today it happened ... I got caught in the act ... :)

Jouko my little studio troll is showing one of his feet and it looks sooo cute. Really ... :)

Maybe you like to take a look and change your mind. I think yours won't be worth ... :)

I'm just glad that pictures don't smell ... :)

Good night, PEtra

Geez, I had no idea there are people who find feet offensive. LOL

*makes mental note never to post pics of her feet on her blog*

I don't necessarily mind it when other people post pictures of their feet on their blogs, but it's just something not for me. I have friends who will wear sandals in the snow, because their feet are their favorite and want to show off what they think are their best feature.

But for me, it's just something I'm not interested in doing. And yes, the goblin feet are cute, but well, that's a little different. It's of a cute little sculpture.

I can't imagine anyone wanting to see my feet. They are blistered and calloused and more just "functional" than just for show.

I have posted pics of my feet in cute shoes and they are my best feature. I've been meaning to take a pic of my favorite boots...

Feet with shoes on them are so different than feet without shoes. For sure.

Yes, and there's something kinda weird about celebrities that are always photographed w/o shoes (like Moby-even though I like his music well enough). One just sort of assumes that their feet must stink if they are airing them out all the time!

i guess i'm busted too.

my friend karin and I wanted to start a blog together where we post our feet photographed in various exotic and not so exotic locales...i suppose we won't be able to get any guest posts for it from you.

For my part, I promise never to wear tight shorts with something written across the butt.

(Why do people *do* that, anyhow?!)

Hey Sarkilahti! You're totally busted, but if I was in half of the wonderful and exotic places you've visited recently walking across black sand beaches and what not... I might consider snapping a photo of my toes as well.

But as it stands, the world could do with some of mine.

Ha ha ha! Hey Lynn! I laughed so hard when I read your comment that I snarfed my soda. Consider your promise noted.

And I haven't the foggiest. When I used to work in the nightlife industry, sometimes our "uniforms" would have things written across the fannies. No matter what it said... it always spelled out "TROUBLE"!

Lynn,
You are too funny! I laughed so hard Azalea came rushing to the computer to see for herself.

I totally agree and have never hopped on that train.....

Although I did spot a pair of shorts that spelled 'tasty' across the back. Are you sure you can keep that promise?

Well, maybe tight shorts with pictures of Andrew's feet across the butt....but no actual words, letters, or logos. *I promise*!
