Decorative Headpins...

Another of the things that I've been working on in the background are some pieces in PMC. Yesterday night I tumbled and finished some of them. Amongst the small cache of fine silver, I made a batch of decorative headpins. Can you tell that spring is on my mind? I've been dreaming of my garden and the bulbs, buds, and seed pods. I'm imagining using these in really delicate earrings or as dainty pendants with sapphires or grossular garnets. I have a small strand of whisky-colored andalusite that shifts to pale peach that would also look nice with the headpins.

They are pricey, just by the very nature that silver is pricey nowadays. It's a pity too, because I love working in fine silver metal clay. Worked properly, it's the most forgiving of the metal clays and produces some really stellar results.

Very beautiful; I'm partial to those leaf ones especially. And I know what you mean about the silver PMC; if only we could afford it all the time. Alas...
