My good friend, Heather Wynn, forwarded me a link to Nina Design's "Have a Heart - Save a Child" campaign. Nina Cooper, the president of the company, has a goal of raising $60,000 for the Half the Sky Foundation to establish a new preschool and infant nurturing center in China. She created a silver heart charm for sale that donates the revenue collected to the cause.

ReplyDeleteI really admire anyone who is willing to fight for the rights of children. Everyone can help. Everyone can make the lives of these children better. You don't have to be a billionaire or a super celebrity. I'm not rich, but I got one of these charms to show my support. It's easy to rationalize why one can't help... but I think that sometimes we just need to act and show that we care!
