September 11th...

I think that it's important to take a moment, even if only briefly, to stop and reflect on September 11th. It's been nearly ten years since that fateful day. Although it's paramount to grow, to heal, and to rebuild... it's also important to remember. To remember is to honor.

There's been a lot of controversy in the news lately – burning books of faith, protests and messages of hate. These acts do not honor those who have fallen... those who fell that day or those who have fallen since that day. I don't often talk about religion or politics here. I do talk about LOVE and tolerance. So, I won't diverge. It's easy to be angry, to be swept up in hurt and lash out, BUT even though it's harder to LOVE, it's the only path that will mend what has been broken.

Let us remember, honor and cherish... but most importantly, let us love.

  2. Well said Andrew. I so feel for the many people whos children are fatherless and husbands and wives, Sons and daughters now gone. So senseless. One day I believe The Lion will lay with the Lamb!

  6. Beautifully said, Andrew. We had a moment of silent prayer tonight for those lost on 9/11 and for their families.

  7. Thank you, Andrew. Words of love, tolerance, and understanding are what we need on this day. My son serves as a medic in Afghanistan in the very area where all of this started. It is complex but healing is what we here at home need.
