I'm a big fan of versatile jewelry. I like the idea that one piece of jewelry can be many. That's why I designed, "
A Necklace for All Seasons." The interchangeable dangles with seasonal color palettes can easily be switched out or added on to another piece.

I love the bright, saturated candy colors that the resin comes in. It really gives the dangles a POP! The resin loops are from Natural Touch. The other materials are from
Talisman Associates Inc.,
Bead Trust,
Fusion Beads,
ArtBeads.com, and
Raven's Journey.
(And if you don't like the look of a lobster clasp right up front, it can easily be disguised with bead caps LIKE THESE or another cluster of wire-wrapped dangles.)
You're like a wire wrapping King.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless ya.
Ha ha ha! I just zone out to a show or movie on Hulu and before I know it, they're already done. It's actually quick work when you don't think about it. When you agonize, that's when it seems to take forever and your wrists start putting up a fight!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I could see these on a nice long, chunky silver chain!
ReplyDeleteThese are visually 'yummy'. I am always inspired by the turning of the year, although I do more collage/ mixed media than jewelry. (www.jdaviesreazor.com) Do you even need the lobster? I would wear these - on a silver chain, or leather - with it threaded through the resin. True, it would hang slightly askew... but I don't think it would matter to me...
ReplyDeleteHey Erin! That's a good idea! They could really be put on anything.
ReplyDeleteHey Jenny! I know that I've scored a hit when someone describes one of my pieces as "yummy!" If it looks good enough to eat, then it's definitely a piece of eye-candy worthy of being worn.
ReplyDeleteI checked out your website and you make really cool work. I especially like your books and shrines. I love the idea of shrines.
The lobster clasp isn't necessarily essential. Also, the way that it's wired, would allow the piece to be without a lobster clasp and have it hang straight. Candice Wakumoto makes a really great piece that makes things a breeze to switch out that would look mighty fierce instead of the lobster clasp. Though I'll string one up with a bead cap disguise, and see how that looks.
