After I almost died last night, the spark returned. Better days, I think, have returned! Here is my submission for this week's theme: Green. As you can probably guess, I've still been doing extensive reading on the Middle Ages and it is surfacing in my Illustration Friday images. I started off by building up a background with collage. Then I painted and drew the figure and incorporated the two elements together. One abstract. One figurative. Hope you enjoy!

Nice work, I very much like the way you built the background with greens and different shapes. I like her hair too. This is a woman to be on the look out for, strong, impressive and on a mission.

I sometimes wonder if dad has ever seen a movie in its entire state? I don't think I've ever seen him not fall asleep at least once during any movie we've sat through.
ReplyDeleteOh and to answer Grace and Andrea and a couple of others... if tired enough, I can sleep anywhere under any conditions. I cannot count how many times I've fallen asleep in the shower or on the train. I'll often times nap in my studio, with just a jacket thrown over my face on a hard wooden floor. And sometimes I can sleep for days and days. I also don't think that I've ever sat through one lecture and stayed awake without nodding off at least once. I've been to hundreds of lectures at this point. Maybe thousands if you consider how long I've been in school.
