So, for the theme of "hide," I drifted away from it and work outside my comfort zone. I'm doing a lot of readings about the Middle Ages and I think that that came through with this illustration.

Great job. It has a very collage feel to it--the contrast between the painted character and foreground with the black and white linnear background.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful Andrew. I like the B&W backgound with the soft colors of the subject. The background looks like an old woodcut and the color is frescoe-ish. Nice juxtaposition.

ReplyDeleteYou have captured the feeling of the Middle Ages very well especially due to the colors and the technique in the background. I like the broken wall with the world hiding behind it. And also the 'third' eye looking down on her.

ReplyDeleteWow. It looks very three-dimentional, like you sculpted it. I love the juxtuposition/transition between foreground being in modern color and background looking like a black and white medieval woodcut with the half-way arch in between.
